Towards a Comparative Study of Animal Consciousness

Abstract In order to develop a true biological science of consciousness, we have remove humans from the center reference and bottom-up comparative study animal minds, as Donald Griffin intended with his call for “cognitive ethology.” this article, I make use pathological complexity thesis (Veit 2022a, b, c) show that can firmly ground consciousness by drawing on resources state-based behavioral life history theory.
